About The Position

This position is for a Chief Architect in Boulder, CO. This is a key position on contract, carrying significant responsibility for long-term architecture strategy in support of national security space missions. This role will be onsite 5 days a week in Boulder, CO.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT field
  • 15+ years of industry-related experience
  • Minimum 5 years of software development, integration, and/or test experience in operational DoD or other national security facilities (industry and/or Government roles)
  • Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Live near or be willing to move to the Boulder, CO area since the work must be performed in the office
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. Ability to passionately deliver high-level messaging to various types of audiences--this will eventually include senior leaders. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical personnel
  • Self-motivated individual who actively and independently seeks out opportunities for learning and development
  • Collaborates well; enjoys working as part of a team
  • All applicants must be US citizens eligible for a US Government security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within an agile workflow
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • DoD Secret or higher clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and plan enterprise-level evolution of the consolidated hardware and software technical baseline
  • Ensure the hardware/software baseline is thoroughly documented and maintained
  • Lead identification of architecture-level risks, issues, and opportunities across the enterprise
  • Convene and facilitate working groups, standing or temporary, to conduct studies, trade analyses, and develop solutions
  • Develop and recommend long-term (3+ year) investment strategies aligned with program strategic direction
