About The Position

This position is for a Chief Architect in Boulder, CO. This is a key position on contract, carrying significant responsibility for long-term architecture strategy in support of national security space missions. This role will be onsite 5 days a week in Boulder, CO.

Requirements

Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT field
15+ years of industry-related experience
Minimum 5 years of software development, integration, and/or test experience in operational DoD or other national security facilities (industry and/or Government roles)
Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Live near or be willing to move to the Boulder, CO area since the work must be performed in the office
Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. Ability to passionately deliver high-level messaging to various types of audiences--this will eventually include senior leaders. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical personnel
Self-motivated individual who actively and independently seeks out opportunities for learning and development
Collaborates well; enjoys working as part of a team
All applicants must be US citizens eligible for a US Government security clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience working within an agile workflow
Experience with Jira and Confluence
DoD Secret or higher clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee and plan enterprise-level evolution of the consolidated hardware and software technical baseline
Ensure the hardware/software baseline is thoroughly documented and maintained
Lead identification of architecture-level risks, issues, and opportunities across the enterprise
Convene and facilitate working groups, standing or temporary, to conduct studies, trade analyses, and develop solutions
Develop and recommend long-term (3+ year) investment strategies aligned with program strategic direction
