About The Position

The Chief Architect will lead technology architecture for Chubb's Claims functional segment globally. This role involves working in conjunction with Global Claims technology and business leaders, along with regional CIOs, to develop and execute the technical strategy that drives business growth or efficiency objectives within the Claims Domain. The Chief Architect will communicate architectural direction and its alignment with enterprise strategy, and is responsible for directing a team of Software Solutions Architects and/or Platform Architects. This position ensures alignment between business and technology partners and leadership peers, and partners with Senior business and technology leaders to identify technology gaps, designing and implementing solutions that drive business growth and transformation. The role establishes the technical target state and roadmap for critical domains and business areas within the Claims Domain, ensuring a multi-year plan incorporates and aligns with the overall technology strategy, and drives strategy and roadmap curation. The Chief Architect develops comprehensive solution architecture and architecture patterns, and develops integrations with internal systems and partners by influencing designing APIs, documenting data exchange patterns, and compiling best practices. This role contributes to the creation of global platforms and drives adoption across all regions, optimizes the application portfolio for local agility and global efficiency, and bridges engineering and architecture teams to drive commonality, standards, and best practices. The Chief Architect drives continuous technology transformations and improvements to minimize technical debt, analyzes industry trends to leverage technology advances, and directs the architecture community to maintain engineering best practices and utilization of fit for purpose emerging technologies. Finally, the Chief Architect partners with Risk and Cyber Security leadership to ensure technology architecture complies with risk standards and industry and regulatory compliance.
