About The Position
Opportunity for a Chief of Anesthesia to practice in a highly autonomous environment. This role utilizes a blended team model, with physicians and CRNAs sharing call and personally providing anesthesia. The diverse case mix offers the opportunity to utilize regional anesthesia skills. St. Francis Hospital is a Catholic not-for-profit healthcare facility, an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, established in 1875 with a mission to meet the needs of the local community. The hospital is fully licensed and accredited, employing nearly 240 residents and offering a full range of medical services including a surgery center, cancer care center, state-of-the-art imaging, and rehabilitation services. St. Francis is also the only hospital in the area providing maternity services. This position involves a care team model and a cohesive group.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Current medical licensure
- ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
- Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
- Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
