About The Position

A key member of the executive team, critical to ensuring the organization operates efficiently, meets strategic objectives through strong regulatory compliance, continuous quality improvement, strategic planning, and technology security. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provides executive oversight, guidance and support for: Quality Management Regulatory Compliance, including but not limited to OPTN, CMS, FDA, OSHA, CLIA, FAA Information Technology and Security Management Aviation Operations Strategic Development, Process Improvement Business Intelligence Applies prudent judgment to provide suitable recommendations and execute operational modifications that enhance both efficiency and effectiveness. Ensures the prioritization and alignment of key organizational initiatives to achieve both strategic short and long-term objectives, accompanied by the development, tracking, and measurement of strategic planning outcomes. Oversees the development of strategic data reporting to provide necessary information to operational departments to drive performance and improvement initiatives. Collaborates with Executives and General Counsel on organizational risk management. Proactively identifies areas of potential risk, maintains and leverages the risk register to document, assesses, and prioritize severity of risk and makes recommendations on effective mitigation strategies. Manages MTN risk management policies and practices, including but not limited to Business Continuity Planning, Emergency Preparedness and Safety. Oversees educational programs associated with risk management policies. Oversees the organization’s occurrence reporting system including delegation of occurrence report assignment, RCA and CAPA documentation and management of closure of reports In conjunction with executive leadership, engages in continual monitoring and review of organization-wide goals & objectives for necessary changes needed to ensure continued high performance and growth. Collaborates with senior leadership to design, recommend and implement strategy, plans, procedures and improvements. Keeps the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) promptly informed on trends, pending initiatives and other issues affecting organizational operations. Works collaboratively with the executive leadership to propose new systems and processes to streamline operations, manage organizational growth and assess performance metrics. Implements and executes all organizational and administrative policy decisions set forth by the Board. Collaborates with Executives and General Counsel to maintain relevant legal compliance in aspects of the organ, eye and tissue donation process. Provides executive leadership and direction to the quality improvement and regulatory compliance program strategies by monitoring effectiveness, evaluating trends, and suggesting improvement strategies. The role is responsible for remaining current on industry developments and providing feedback to the Executives and CEO as needed to improve operations. In conjunction with operational leaders, formulates a budget to present to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and CEO for approval. Maintains expenditure of operations within the approved annual budget framework and explains any variances. With the CFO, verifies and ensures all institutional invoices submitted are accurate and appropriate for areas of responsibility. ORGANIZATIONAL REPRESENTATION AND DEVELOPMENT Communication and media functions with staff, Board, and external audiences. Significant travel responsibilities. Ensures organizational compliance with external governmental and regulatory agencies. Involvement with organizational promotion of mission. Oversight of annual budget preparation and fiscal effectiveness for areas of responsibility.

Requirements

  • A bachelors degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or Technology required.
  • Minimum ten years experience in Administration/Healthcare senior leadership required.
  • Experience with a comparable size OPO or healthcare organization strongly preferred.
  • Successful experience managing multi-level and cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect long-term goals to practical execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize competing risks, compliance needs, and operational demands.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership, motivation and organizational planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ethical character attributes.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy.
  • Must have reliable transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines.
  • Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including some nights and weekends for meetings.
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds and transfer short distances.
  • Possess ability to operate telephones, computers and office equipment.
  • Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information in person or by phone.
  • OSHA Category I– Minimal to no exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties. Bloodborne pathogens protection is not required.
  • Home internet and wireless phone access may be required.
