About The Position
Bell & Evans is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Hatchery team as a Chick Room Attendant. In this role, you'll help care for newly hatched chicks and prepare them for transport to our broiler farms. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that plays an important role in the beginning of our production process.
Requirements
- Dependable with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse, or production experience is helpful, but not required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Move chick trolleys from hatchers to the chick storage area.
- Push and pull trolleys throughout the hatchery.
- Inspect chicks and remove cull chicks according to company standards.
- Place healthy chicks back into baskets for transport.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all food safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity procedures.
- Report any safety or quality concerns immediately.
