About The Position

Athletes Unlimited (AU) owns and operates professional women’s sports leagues, including the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL). AU is recognized for its innovative approach, including athlete representation on its board and profit-sharing. The AUSL is expanding to a city-based model in 2026. This part-time role supports the Chicago Bandits and AUSL by increasing local presence through grassroots outreach, event activations, and on-the-ground promotion. The role is event-based, requiring a self-starter passionate about sports and community engagement.

Requirements

Must be comfortable working grassroots events on your own.
Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours.
Availability for the AUSL season dates of September 2026 to May 2027.
Strong preference for candidates based in the Chicago area.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Increase awareness and drive community engagement leading up to the AUSL season.
Support grassroots marketing initiatives by working on-site at softball tournaments and community events, including setting up AUSL materials, engaging attendees, distributing promotional items, and collecting lead data.
Distribute promotional and ticketing collateral to local softball clubs, recreation centers, sports bars, and other community hubs.
Leverage existing connections within the Chicago softball community to introduce potential partners and prospects to the AU ticket sales team.
Collaborate closely with Athletes Unlimited staff to ensure consistent and effective local outreach.
