About The Position
Chess Club for Kids Instructor We're looking for an enthusiastic instructor to lead our Chess Club for Kids program for students in 5th–8th grade. Instructors will create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment while teaching chess fundamentals, strategy, critical thinking, and good sportsmanship through interactive lessons and friendly gameplay. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about chess and enjoy helping students build confidence, concentration, and decision-making skills in a positive and encouraging setting.
Requirements
- Chess: 4 years (Required)
- Working with children: 1 year (Required)
- Ability to Commute: New Cumberland, PA 17070 (Required)
- Enthusiastic

- Communicates clearly
- Can adapt instruction to accommodate a variety of skill levels
Responsibilities
- Introducing new concepts
- Guiding students through practice matches and chess puzzles
- Encouraging teamwork and strategic problem-solving
- Organizing fun challenges or mini tournaments
- Ensuring all participants feel included regardless of experience level
