About The Position

This is a general posting for Chemistry Teacher positions throughout the Paterson Public School District. Resumes will be shared for positions that align with the applicant's endorsement area(s). Paterson Public Schools is seeking certified Chemistry Teachers who are experts in their content area, committed to improving student achievement, and will bring enthusiasm to the classroom. The district is looking for highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic certified educators for the 2026-27 school year. Resumes are being accepted for bilingual teachers certified by the State of New Jersey to teach in bilingual classrooms at various grade levels and content areas, in Spanish or Turkish and English.

Requirements

• Hold New Jersey Chemistry or Physical Science certificate.
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Experience working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others.
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

Nice To Haves

• Certified by the State of New Jersey.
• Bilingual certification in Spanish or Turkish and English.
