About The Position
Helix Aviation Academy (HAA) is seeking a passionate and student-centered Chemistry Teacher to join its instructional team. The ideal candidate will possess strong content knowledge, a commitment to educational equity, and the ability to engage students by connecting chemistry concepts to aviation and real-world applications. This role involves delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction, designing inquiry-based labs and projects, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment. Teachers are also expected to integrate technology, participate in professional learning communities, and lead or support a club or enrichment course.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field
- Strong classroom management, planning, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement culturally responsive teaching practices and integrate instructional technology
- Growth mindset and commitment to student success

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned Chemistry instruction

- Use formative and summative assessment data to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners

- Lead or support one club or Enrichment course during designated school hours
- Actively integrate technology to enhance instruction and promote digital equity
- Participate in professional learning communities and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth
