About The Position
Virginia Western Community College is seeking part-time Chemistry Adjunct Faculty to teach college-level courses and labs in-person on the main campus. The college is a two-year public institution located in Roanoke, VA, serving a region that includes Roanoke, Salem, Roanoke County, Craig County, Franklin County, and southern Botetourt County. Established in 1966, the college currently enrolls over 9,000 students in credit courses and more than 1,400 in workforce and continuing education courses. Adjunct faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education, and to be active participants in Chemistry department communication.
