Requirements

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, general computer skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
Ability to read and understand ASTM, ISO, AMS, etc., specifications and specific customer standards and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance SOP’s, customer testing specifications, and procedure manuals.
Strong applied math skills (arithmetic, algebra)
Standard office equipment and computers
Analytical equipment
Cut off saws, sanders, and shears
Ability to work weekends and/or off shifts
Ability to work independently or within a group
Ability to understand and follow SOPs and customer requirements
Ability to produce Quality work while maintaining a safe work environment
Ability to use basic hand tools

Nice To Haves

Prior knowledge of optical microscopes and image analysis systems
Chemical laboratory experience highly desirable

Responsibilities

Analyze composites - Physical and chemical
Operation of analytical equipment such as ICP- MS, ICP- OES, XRF, ONH, CS, OES, XRD, powder characterization.
Managing the calibration of glass wares and the instruments and maintenance, cleaning and checking of equipment
Coordinating with the other technicians in the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule
Manage verification and calibration of instruments
