Requirements

  • PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Natural Products Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry, method development and validation, ISO/IEC 17025, SOP preparation, instrument troubleshooting, scientific writing, experimental design, and independent project management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with essential oils, botanicals, dietary supplements, natural products, or pharmaceutical analysis.
  • Experience with pesticide and contaminant testing.
  • Experience with authentication and adulteration testing.
  • Laboratory accreditation experience.
  • Technical leadership experience.
  • Scientific publications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize GC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS/MS, HPLC, and LC-MS/MS methods for essential oils, natural products, supplements, pesticides, contaminants, adulterants, and authentication markers.
  • Transfer established analytical methods into routine laboratory operations.
  • Design method validation studies covering accuracy, precision, specificity, selectivity, linearity, range, detection and quantification limits, recovery, robustness, and measurement uncertainty; prepare protocols and reports.
  • Support laboratory alignment with ISO/IEC 17025, including audits, corrective and preventive actions, proficiency testing, traceability, personnel competency, and laboratory investigations.
