Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field required
3+ years of experience working in a laboratory, agricultural emphasis preferred
Attention to detail, with good problem solving, organization, and decision making skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good communication and presentation skills
Strong work ethics are a must

Responsibilities

Work with other chemists and stakeholders to design and optimize new agricultural formulations
Knowledge of agricultural formulations, uses, test requirements, and new technologies
Conduct laboratory experiments and tests to evaluate chemical properties, product performance, and formulation stability
Reliably record and document experimental data
Report experimental results and summarize progress in group discussions and project updates
Collaborate effectively with other team members to accomplish goals in a team environment
Develop and optimize in-house analytical methods based on the company’s needs
Help newly developed products move through the regulatory process
Routine laboratory analyses including pH, density, viscosity, emulsion property work, and chemical analysis including HPLC, GC, FTIR instrumentation methods
Maintain a clean work area including proper cleaning of glassware and laboratory equipment
Work with agricultural products including pesticides, adjuvants, and fertilizers
Maintain exemplary laboratories in terms of safety and compliance and follow all personal protective equipment requirements
Act as a leader and example for the company’s Behavioral Standards, which focus on Safety, Integrity, Inclusion, Performance, Community, and Innovation
