About The Position
This is an entry level position for chemists. Initially, the chemist is assigned to training in various laboratories in the plant for a period of one to two months.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Chemistry
- One year or less of experience
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the responsibilities of each laboratory in the plant and how they function and interrelate.
- Develop an understanding of the responsibilities of each department in the plant, and how they function and interrelate.
- Investigate plant processes and develop an understanding of them.
- Develop an understanding of the work responsibilities for each of the labor units in the plant.
- Become familiar with NFS' analytical methods/systems and determine their capabilities.
- Solve technical problems for analytical systems that are safe, efficient, cost effective, and meet ALARA objectives.
