Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in chemistry; or A bachelor’s degree that includes 30 credits in chemistry or biochemistry.
- Possession of a valid Class C driver's license that is not under suspension.
- Must possess and maintain a REAL ID or passport.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and quality control materials needed for laboratory testing
- Operate analytical instruments by following approved procedures and performing routine calibrations
- Record observations, enter data into laboratory systems, and review information for accuracy
- Apply laboratory quality rules, participate in studies, and maintain records that support reliable results
- Receive, sort, and document samples while verifying correct identification and container use
- Produce clear scientific records and assist with creating reports that describe findings
