Also to maintain, enter, record, and file data generated by laboratory activities and analytical work.

Requirements

  • High School degree with basic high school level chemistry knowledge
  • 1 year of appropriately related experience in the industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate of Science degree, with 1 to 2 years in appropriately related experience in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts chemical and physical laboratory tests of solids and liquids and analyzes test data to ensure the quality of processes and products.
  • Recommends changes in laboratory procedures and equipment in order to increase the efficiency of the laboratory.
  • Prepare reports of analytical work.
  • Participate in problem-solving activities to determine root causes of quality non-conformances.
  • Operate the optical microscope to measure lead alloy calcium grain diameter.
  • Analyze batches of wastewater to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned
