Requirements

• Proficient in chemical testing such as HPLC, FT-IR, Specific Gravity, and Nonvolatile testing.
• Computer proficiency and adaptability working with a variety of databases, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
• Ability to work in a team environment with shifting priorities and requirements.
• Good organizational and communication skills required.

• Previous experience testing medical devices a plus

Responsibilities

• Performs HPLC testing on all ClearGuard lots per written procedure. Interprets and reviews test data against the acceptance criteria.
• Produces several different chemicals for the plant used in the manufacturing area. Tests these chemicals according to their governing procedure/requirements.
• Investigates test results; determines possible causes for failure and recommends possible corrective action. Records results of testing on log and appropriate forms.
• Performs laboratory maintenance tasks such as chemical laboratory glassware cleaning and conductivity testing of cleaned glassware.
• Manages lab consumables used in the Chemical Quality Assurance lab.
• Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.
