The primary responsibility of the chemical technician will be to coordinate chemical operations through the installation and troubleshooting of new and existing chemical applications. This includes plumbing chemical lines, installing pumps and solenoids, automating chemical equipment, and installing monitoring equipment. The role also involves troubleshooting issues with chemical pumps, injection plumbing, automation valves, and H2S tower operations. Communication with vendors, operations staff, and management is key, as is developing action plans and serving as a liaison between local operations, vendors, and EOG Resources regarding chemical applications, KPIs, reporting, and costing.
