About The Position

Bargreen Ellingson is looking for a Chemical Service Technician to join our Portland branch. This role is responsible for providing quality service to our customers who have various types of commercial appliances that require service. This can include serving customers at restaurants with dish machines, or at hotels, schools and other customers who lease and service equipment with Bargreen Ellingson.

Requirements

  • Valid state driver license with clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work schedule may include nights, weekends, holidays and long hours with mandatory overtime and on-call status.
  • Regular attendance is necessary.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Desire to succeed in a high growth, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Familiarity with smart phones, tablets and email
  • Ability to drive a company work truck or vehicle.
  • Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Able to follow safety standards that vary from site to site
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
  • Overall mechanical aptitude

Nice To Haves

  • 2-years warewash, laundry, or similar experience highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Manage their given territory with exceptional service to customer accounts.
  • Install and maintain chemical dispensers at restaurants, laundry, grocery and health care facilities.
  • Install and maintain dish machines from under counter to conveyor units at restaurant, grocery and health care facilities.
  • Conduct routine and thorough preventative maintenance visits at customer accounts to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Respond to and resolve emergency service calls during business hours & after hours/weekends when on call. Rotating on-call schedule is required.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with key individuals (customers, territory sales reps, suppliers, and co-workers).
  • Work with management to provide any necessary training for employees.
  • Must be safety/security conscious, adhere to the guidelines in the Safety Manual, and report any accidents or incidents immediately.
  • Be knowledgeable about and follow company policy and procedures.
  • Outstanding relationship-building skills coupled with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity.
