About The Position

AGCEA manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America. AGCEA has an excellent opportunity for a Chemical Process Technician in our CMP department on our Day Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM). Persons in this role are responsible for moving chemical drums with an electric pallet jack, drum lifter and drum dolly. Team Members hand transferring chemicals into mixing tanks for mixing and weigh/mix material to precise specification. Performing cleaning of mixing equipment, lines, and manufacturing areas according to specific procedure is also a primary function of this role. Technicians on the CMP Team maintain chemical baths by sampling, disposing of, mixing, and delivering chemicals essential for manufacturing, where precision is crucial. Additionally, technicians are required to keep detailed records of production parts and processes, both physically and digitally.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months – 1 year of related manufacturing experience.
  • Completed general education (high school or GED), vocational training, and/or on-the-job training.
  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of CMP including basic shop math, formulas, measuring instruments, machine functions, and controls.
  • Ability to use computer programs to operate machine functions and system controls for processing equipment and systems.
  • Experience with various measuring equipment; scales, gages, and ability to input data.
  • Must be able to perform processes to conformance individually, and within the team setting.
