Chemical Process Safety Manager
About The Position
SRE Engineering is seeking a Chemical Process Safety Management/Risk Management Program (PSM/RMP) Manager for an upcoming NYC DEP infrastructure project. This role involves preparing contract documents that clearly define PSM and RMP requirements, managing and mitigating chemical exposure risks to operational, managerial, and construction staff, as well as the public, throughout construction, start-up, and close-out. The manager will also keep PSM and RMP requirements current and updated as needed for the duration of the contract and coordinate with the EHS Officer and Construction Manager on chemical safety protocols specific to the site.
Requirements
- Experience with Process Safety Management and Risk Management Program requirements on water/wastewater or industrial sites; DEP preferred
- Working knowledge of chemical handling, storage, and exposure controls in a construction environment
- Ability to translate PSM/RMP requirements into clear contract language and field procedures
- Reliable personal vehicle required, as this role requires site travel
