About The Position

This position is responsible for operating and monitoring multiple furnaces, ensuring parts are produced according to specifications and quality guidelines. The role involves data entry, equipment monitoring, process adjustments, documentation, and assisting with maintenance and quality control tasks. The operator will also be involved in material preparation, regeneration, and packing, while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret process sheets/print specifications and apply strict specifications while working with close tolerances.
  • Familiarity with Eurytherm software.
  • Experience in a self-directed teaming environment.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment working with furnaces, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
  • Lean skills to continually drive process improvements.
  • Team building skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass various annual exams.
  • Meet performance standards within the first six months.
  • Intermediate Excel computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate load, unload, and monitor multiple furnaces.
  • Enter program data, monitor equipment, observe temperature and flow gauges, and adjust parameters, timing, and temperatures.
  • Record and log hourly data, annotate furnace variances, and verify documentation completeness for NADCAP requirements.
  • Complete all written and/or electronic data, labor tracking, and quality requirements.
  • Effectively and efficiently produce parts according to specifications and quality guidelines.
  • Assist in maintenance and quality by performing required calibrations, SAT, TUS, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Dry hone and grit blast component pieces.
  • Heat tint material.
  • Perform material regeneration.
  • Pack and unpack parts.
  • Monitor Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) furnace load and unload, and engage gases.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with peers, leadership, and customers.
  • Utilize proper PPE and safety equipment at all times.
  • Cross-train other employees.
  • Maintain, implement, and improve 5-S Principles.
  • Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
