About The Position

C&S Chemicals is seeking a Chemical Plant Operator to join their production team. This role is critical in chemical manufacturing and involves overseeing the efficient and safe operation of chemical manufacturing processes, focusing on the production of alum and other related chemicals. The operator will work with blending equipment and collaborate with a dedicated team to achieve production goals while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Eagerness to learn plant processes.

Nice To Haves

Experience in plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, or operating front-end loading equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate chemical processing equipment, such as digesters, mixers, pumps, and control systems.
Measure and monitor materials to ensure conformance with production requirements.
Adjust settings and control parameters to meet quality and efficiency standards.
Conduct inspections and tests to maintain product quality and equipment safety.
Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed production targets.
Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure a secure work environment.
Conduct routine safety checks and promptly report hazards or unsafe conditions.
Participate in safety training sessions and foster a safety-first culture.
Diagnose and resolve equipment issues or process irregularities.
Perform minor repairs and adjustments to maintain production continuity.
Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure timely equipment repairs.
