The Opportunity: Essential Functions: Follow all written operating procedures, by routinely following all safety and regulatory policies and guidelines for PPE, labeling, cGMP, batch tickets, documentation, etc. Responsible for obtaining Shift Supervisor’s written approval for any deviations to written operating procedures before deviating from the written procedure. Responsible for taking appropriate actions during an emergency situation to protect personnel first, the environment second, and equipment/facility third. Operate equipment within its specified parameters, and monitor equipment for unusual conditions. Assure all equipment is functioning as intended, and responsible for communicating to Supervisor any that is not functioning as intended. Report unusual equipment conditions to Supervisor for follow-up, and provide information to maintenance to support diagnosis. Assist in maintenance/servicing of equipment if required. Maintain cleanliness of facilities and housekeeping of assigned workstation(s). Operate a forklift, as required, to transfer materials, once trained and certified. Responsible for documenting field training/OJT as required. Ownership of personal SBWS training plan, as approved by the Supervisor. Maintain log sheets and any other documentation required for production records. The Operator is expected to spend any time not occupied with the “Primary duties” learning the processes within their respective plant process areas, and to prepare for advancement in the operations field. All Operators, once trained, will be eligible and expected to sometimes cover overtime for other production positions when a need is announced.
