About The Position

Our site in Burnet is seeking a Chemical Operator Lead position in receiving to join our team. In this role you would be responsible for ensuring team members have a safe and effective working environment and escalating any issues that require management support. The lead will be required to solve non-routine problems, assist in executing orders to production schedules per SOPs and will take ownership of continuous improvement and operations development projects as assigned. Shift schedule is a 3-2-2-3 on day shift once fully trained and certified. Once you are trained and certified, you will work a red 1 shift schedule (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM), and your primary responsibilities will include the following: Engage in providing a safe working environment by coaching operators to ensure all safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, wearing required Personal Protective Equipment, and reporting potential hazards to management. Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, identify and resolve non-routine problems with process equipment. Perform quality testing and inspections on finished good products. Monitor documentation and electronic transactions to ensure the accuracy of work order and inventory records, meeting all ISO requirements. Support the team by fulfilling production orders through SAP Work with Production Planner to assist with production order processing and execution. Work with engineering and management to update standard operating procedures. Ensuring all SOP’s on the floor, are accurate and up to date. Work with Engineers to run experiments, troubleshoot systems, create/update PMs and maintain spare parts Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of sublimation, decon, valve building, harvesting, fill and morph solids
  • Expert communication skills, training experience and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP confirmations, troubleshooting, material movements and order scheduling through COOIS.
  • Working knowledge of MRB process and project/inventory ownership
  • Working knowledge of Ariba, LabWare, Teams, ETQ, CamLine and Microsoft Office
  • Exposure to finished good inspections & Ampoule Superdry.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical field (chemical, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous chemical handling experience
  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of inventory management
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45000
  • Frequently lift up to 50lbs and push up to 130lbs
  • Flexible, able to rapidly respond to new situations and to perform multiple tasks

  • Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field a plus
