About The Position
Sensient Technologies is expanding its plant operations due to growth in natural color production and is seeking to hire multiple Chemical Operators. This role is critical in supporting the production process through various activities including packaging, cleaning, formulation, and material movement. The company fosters a collaborative and hard-working environment where employees solve tough problems.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50lbs multiple times per day.
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift.
- Flexibility to work different shifts.
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment according to safety, environmental and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
- Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.
- Color and dust particles may be present in the air or throughout the facility.
- Allergens may be present in the air.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Prior chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Calculate, weigh, and charge raw materials.
- Operate all processing equipment including blenders, mixers, mills, dryers, etc.
- Follow all operating procedures written and verbal.
- Weigh and label finished products, complete all production documentation.
- Perform in-process quality analysis tests.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs.
- Clean equipment and work area per standardized procedures.
