About The Position

The Role:   

Oversee and safely manage the production, packaging, and shipment of chemicals
while adhering to written standard operating procedures. Think critically
to troubleshoot process and equipment issues. Provide input necessary to
continually improve plant operation. Complete all documentation with attention
to detail.

Requirements

• Experience:  0-3 years in an Industrial Manufacturing Facility.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED Associates or Technical Degree
• Must be able to work 8 or 12-hour rotating shift schedule including nights and weekends.
• Must have ability to comprehend chemical processes and operating systems.
• Must be able to use computer systems such as Outlook, SAP, MS Office, and various online training and data entry tools.
• Knowledge and ability to safely operate fork trucks.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including a respirator where/when required.
• Ability to work overtime and backfill vacations as necessary.
• Physical ability to climb ladder and safely lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe operation of all equipment in accordance with SI Group’s safety policies and standard operating procedures to ensure personal safety as well as safety of co-workers and the environment.
• Safely perform LOTO in accordance with site policy and procedure.
• Safely spot and prepare tank trucks for loading and unloading.
• Engage in loading/unloading and labeling of various materials and containers.
• Enter maintenance requests in SAP.
• Position may also involve tasks in the management and/or handling of hazardous waste.
• Complete basic maintenance tasks such as gasket and bolt replacements.
• Prepare for shutdowns by clearing and isolating equipment.
