The Chemical Plant Operator is responsible for taking daily inventory, unloading and loading raw materials and finished goods, and helping in other operations departments. Chemical Operators are also responsible for using and maintaining equipment to blend chemicals. This role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, frequent walking for inventory and checks, and operation of a skid loader and forklift. A respirator is required for unloading specific chemicals, and the ability to tolerate temperature extremes and work in moderately loud environments is necessary. The position also requires a Class 1A license and a High School Diploma. While 1-2 years of chemical plant experience is preferred, it is not required. The role involves operating production equipment, reading output devices, collecting samples, preparing and labeling materials for transport, troubleshooting equipment, documenting activities, and completing daily batches under supervision. Maintaining a clean and safe environment according to company guidelines is essential, and other duties may be assigned.
