About The Position

Our growing company has an opening for a Chemical Milling Support Technician I. The preferred candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing or manufacturing-related position. This position supports chemical milling production operations. This position may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals and requires the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, which is supplied by the company. This is a full-time position, on daylight operations M-F, at our Glassport facility.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED)
Organizational skills and adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Must be able to work well in a team
Requires Heavy Lifting of Parts 30lbs + and up to 100lbs with assistance
Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape
Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating cranes, a forklift and/or pallet jack a plus
Ability to support our Donora facility as needed

Responsibilities

With supervision/training this position is responsible for the preparation of customer parts for chemical milling.
Performs dip-coating, roll coating and brush coating to customer parts
Performs grit-blasting of part areas prior to coatings application
Makes additions of coatings and solvents as needed to maintain tank levels
Cleans surface of parts and materials to ensure uniform adhesion of maskant
Position will be expected to support multiple production processes, both FAA and non-FAA compliant.
Performs other duties as assigned
