About The Position

The Chemical Lab Operator analyzes the chemical concentration of all chemical processes, using laboratory instruments and equipment, to ensure that all jobs are processed in accordance with work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. The available work schedule consists of second-shift hours (4:00pm - 12:30am); however, training will take place during the first shift (7:30am - 4:00pm).

Requirements

Ability to read, communicate and understand documents such as Travelers, standard operating procedure, instructions, and safety rules in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
Basic proficiency with Microsoft office
Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated
Must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions
Must be able to work overtime as required
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) (Required)
U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents

Nice To Haves

Experience in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing environment (Preferred)
Minimum of 1 year of chemical laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Review and become familiar with SOPs, work instructions, and follow Manager’s direction to ensure compliance with specifications.
Perform Ionic contamination testing.
Perform X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) testing.
Prepare testing samples and perform analytical testing to check chemical concentration based on Truechem schedule.
Record and maintain PAL, Log, and test results. Review lab results and consult with the Manager and Process Engineer if any addition, new make-up, or bailout is needed.
Perform routine scheduled Chemical PMs which include the removal of spent baths, spent rinse water baths and the makeup of fresh baths (per instructions) and rinse baths.
Keep inventory of chemicals and all other laboratory supplies and equipment.
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment.
Assist Wastewater Treatment Department as needed.
Perform other duties as needed.
