About The Position
Under limited supervision, conducts inventories of chemicals used in laboratories, studios, and makerspaces. Uploads the inventory to UNM's web-based chemical inventory management system.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM
- Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count)
- If Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Nice To Haves
- Basic computer knowledge
- Experience with Excel and data entry
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Student in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or other STEM-related field is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Data entry
- Weekly check-in meetings
- Scheduling and conducting on-site visits
- Assist staff in the warehouse with waste inventory
- Barcoding and entering new chemicals into the web-based system
- Other job-related duties as assigned
