About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited academic institution.
• At least 5 years of practice as a chemical hygienist or industrial hygienist.
• Credentialed as a certified safety professional (CSP) or other related certification (e.g., CIH, or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM))

Responsibilities

• Performing surveys and inspections to identify safety and health hazards and assessing compliance with regulations.
• Preparing written reports to document survey findings.
• Maintaining chemical inventories.
• Managing and responding to laboratory hazardous material incidents and spills.
• Conducting general industrial hygiene monitoring and occupational health services.
• Supporting laboratory hazardous waste program and program inspections.
• Assisting with accident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Participating as a member of the safety committee.
