About The Position

Palmer Logistics, now part of H. Essers, is seeking skilled Chemical Filling Technicians to join their team. This role involves transloading product from railcars into drums and totes, operating equipment for loading/unloading, and operating a drumming station. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and proficient in operating various equipment and handling materials in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

• 1-3 years of warehouse experience in a logistics environment.
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Trans loading product from railcar using operating equipment into drums, totes, etc.
• Operate drumming station to assure correct weight and seal containment.
• Equipment inspected daily and cleaned as required.
• Operate a forklift unloading or loading totes, drums.
• Must be able to read gauges.
• Must be able to connect and disconnect hoses via threaded/camlock fittings.
• Ability to work with basic hand tools.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, stoop, crawl, and work on an elevated platform and top of rail cars.
• Maintain high level of housekeeping in work area.
• Ability to multitask and complete task with sense of urgency

• Willingness to fill in with other warehouse operations
• Flexible work schedule: to work any hours between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, may require work on Saturdays if needed.
