Chemical Engineering Postdoctoral Scholar
About The Position
The Waltemeyer Department of Chemical Engineering at Penn State, University Park campus is looking to hire a full-time postdoctoral scholar in Dr. Amir Sheikhi's lab. The post-doctoral candidate will be working on the design, development, and characterization of bio-based and biomaterials for a variety of in vitro and in vivo applications. Other responsibilities include student supervision and training, preparing progress reports and manuscripts, and participating in collaborative research. This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline by the appointment date.
Responsibilities
- Design, development, and characterization of bio-based and biomaterials for a variety of in vitro and in vivo applications.
- Student supervision and training.
- Preparing progress reports and manuscripts.
- Participating in collaborative research.
