About The Position

Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineer Co-op to join its New Johnsonville team in New Johnsonville, Tennessee. The co-op will gain hands-on experience through projects in a chemical plant, working alongside engineers and applying classroom learning to real-time engineering work. The position is scheduled for January through May 2027, with a regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. Candidates must be able to commit to at least six months as a co-op; two or more terms may be required if one term is during the summer.

Requirements

• Be enrolled at an accredited college or university as a rising sophomore or above at the time of assignment.
• Be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar field.
• Be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Be able to commit to at least six months as a co-op.

Nice To Haves

• Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom.
• A GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects.
• Assist operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
• Participate in process safety management activities and reviews.
• Contribute to team meetings and conference calls.
