About The Position

Pinnacle Specialty Group is a woman-owned and operated small business specializing in providing project and contract management for Professional, Technical, Engineering, IT and Support Services. This position will be providing process design support to the Lithium Processing Facility Project at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant, supporting the Mechanical Project Design group. The role involves participation in designs from scope definition, feasibility and conceptual studies, through preliminary and detailed designs. Tasks include developing flowsheets (block diagrams, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs), performing analyses and calculations, and preparing reports, studies, and Process Descriptions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited university.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience including process design of complex nuclear or chemical facilities.
Level 3: BA/BS Degree plus 10-14 years of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 10-13 years of experience.
Level 4: BA/BS Degree plus 15-20 years of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 14-18 years of experience.
Level 5: BA/BS Degree plus 20 years of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 19 years of experience.
Proof of U.S. citizenship is required due to government and/or federal regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide process design support to the Mechanical Project Design group at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant.
Support the Lithium Processing Facility Project.
Participate in designs ranging from scope definition, feasibility and conceptual studies, and preliminary/detailed designs.
Develop flowsheets (block diagrams, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs).
Perform analyses and calculations.
Prepare reports, studies, and Process Descriptions.
