About The Position

RASIRC is seeking a passionate and dynamic Chemical Engineer II to join our team. This role will play a key part in improving RASIRC’s products and processes through design and testing. Building on foundational engineering experience, this role independently supports process development, preparing products for high-volume manufacturing (HVM) readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on the Peroxidizer line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required)
  • 3–5 years of relevant industry experience (semiconductor or high-purity chemical manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong understanding of chemical process design, scale-up, and optimization
  • Experience working with hazardous chemicals and high-purity systems
  • Familiarity with ISO-certified manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills
  • Experience with process control systems and data logging tools
  • Understand heat transfer, mass transfer and process piping ability to work hands on with gases, liquids, and heaters
  • Ability to design, build and run tests.
  • Ability to work in class 1000 or better cleanrooms with required cleanroom garb
  • Ability to travel (~10%) as needed
  • Ability to work in controlled environments while following all safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Ability to lift approximately 35 lbs.
  • U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident Certificate (Green Card) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operation, monitoring, and optimization of chemical process systems producing high-purity specialty chemicals
  • Design, analysis, and documentation of mechanical, chemical, and electromechanical subsystems
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement data-driven improvements
  • Support advanced troubleshooting of test setups, subcomponent failures, and field failures
  • Analyze Engineering test data to drive design improvements
  • Develop detailed technical reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and reliability
  • Drive updates to SOPs, work instructions, and best practices
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols involving hazardous chemicals
  • Lead or participate in Hazard Reviews, PHA/HAZOP activities
  • Maintain compliance with ISO and semiconductor industry standards
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process and equipment issues
  • Work with engineering team to improve current system reliability
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and supply chain teams
  • Integration activities across chemical, electrical, and software teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians
  • Support training and knowledge transfer across teams
