About The Position

The Chemical Compounder operates equipment to weigh, mix, and blend batches of coating chemicals.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or Equivalent Work Experience.
• Mfg experience preferred (demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with computer controlled equipment)
• Ability to follow standard work instructions, use measurement tools, blueprints, manuals as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs including use of lifting assistance devices.
• Ability to stand for extended period of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, kneel as required.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment as required.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
• Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Standard Work Instructions and Company Policies
• Adhere/Follow all safety rules
• Alert supervision to product quality or machine operation concerns
• Maintain the 5S standard of the assigned area.
• Weighs and stages ingredients with great accuracy
• Cleans and maintains all equipment, includes tank scraping as required
• Package materials as needed
• Accurately completes batch tickets
• Identifies and takes action for variations in raw materials, foreign debrix, texture and color
• Works closely with QC to adjust batches to reach specs
• Follows the Lock Out Tag Out procedures
• Other duties as assigned
