About The Position

Vertex is growing, and we're looking for a Chemical Cleaning Supervisor with experience in an industrial environment to join our Nisku, Alberta team. We're seeking local candidates from the Nisku area. This is a great opportunity to work close to home for candidates that take pride in their work, are reliable and have a strong commitment to safety. We are looking for the candidate to start as early as July 15, 2026.

Requirements

  • Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)
  • Valid Class 3 drivers license with a clean commercial drivers abstract
  • Minimum of 1 year experience supervising/leading crews
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a industrial environment
  • Experience operating low pressure chemical units
  • Experience or familiarity with operating steamer and/or combo units
  • Ability to operate or have experience with reverse flow manifold and diesel fuel burners
  • Flexibility on truck/equipment unit operations
  • Possess H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO safety tickets
  • Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
  • Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
  • Flexibility to work both day and night shift
  • Integrity and reliability, willing to accept out of town work when applicable/necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Class 1 drivers license with a clean commercial drivers abstract
  • High Pressure operating experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee chemical cleaning projects and lead chemical cleaning crews
  • Ability to read and follow chemical cleaning procedures and information data sheets
  • Competency driving, operating, and maintaining chemical cleaning units
  • Rigging equipment and hoses in and out
  • Blending chemicals into the circulating units
  • Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, health and safety procedures, Department of Transportation and hazardous materials/waste requirements and regulations
  • Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports and time sheets
  • Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
  • Have the ability to perform pre and post trip inspections if required, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to management
