Chemical Analyst (Entry Level)

Our elemental and separation science experience ranges from Aluminum through Zirconium with an emphasis on platinum group metals.
Requirements
- Some degree of chemical education
- The ability to handle wet and dry chemicals in a plant environment
- Technical problem solving in a chemical production environment
- Effective written and oral communication in English
- Attention to details
Nice To Haves
- Associates Degree or higher, completed or in progress
- 0 -2 years prior experience in an analytical environment/spectroscopy
- Experience with small industrial production operations
- HAZWOPER Training
- Familiarity with 40CFR RCRA regulations
- Safe Forklift Operation/Forklift Certification
- Prior Experience in a Metal Refining Facility
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain ICP-OES instrumentation
- Sample preparation to a high analytical standard
- Laboratory operations including titration, sampling, filtration, pH testing, etc.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces
- Assist/perform bench scale testing operations as needed
- Assist with tote management of spent process solutions
