About The Position

Chances Salmon Arm is looking for a Chef to lead our established gaming centre kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role in a structured, high-volume environment with consistent business, clear procedures, and support from an experienced management team. Requirements

2+ years of kitchen leadership or supervisory experience
Food Safe Level 2 (required)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Comfortable working in a structured, compliance-focused environment
Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced kitchen
Experience with ordering, inventory, and scheduling
Must be 19+
Ability to obtain a criminal record check through GPEB

Nice To Haves

Red Seal certification is an asset, but not required

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including regular service and banquets
Lead, train, and support a kitchen team, including scheduling and coaching
Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to maintain food quality and service standards
Manage food ordering, inventory, and cost controls
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation requirements
Assist with menu costing, specials, and banquet menus
Address performance or staffing issues professionally, with management and HR support
