Unidine is hiring immediately for a full time CHEF position. This role directs, coordinates, and evaluates assigned kitchen, food production, and food-service associates. The ideal candidate will supervise, coordinate, and participate in the activities of cooks and other associates engaged in preparing, cooking, and serving food, ensuring all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met. This position also involves supervising hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action. The Chef will efficiently prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes, ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures, and track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase product. Additionally, the role includes receiving and inspecting product and supplies, maintaining sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and assisting in recipe and menu selection and development.
