About The Position
Columbia Woodlands is a premier glamping resort located near Dover, Ohio, offering guests a unique blend of outdoor adventure and upscale hospitality. We are seeking a dependable and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating exceptional meals, leading by example in the kitchen, and delivering memorable dining experiences for guests in a beautiful, nature-inspired setting. Candidates with experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Chef are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar culinary leadership role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and equipment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for hospitality and creating outstanding guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Set up and stock workstations with ingredients and supplies needed for service.
- Ensure meals are prepared and presented consistently with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, food ordering, and proper storage procedures.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Support and mentor team members while fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Contribute to menu execution and help deliver an exceptional dining experience that reflects the hospitality standards of Columbia Woodlands.
