About The Position

The Village of Taunton Mills has an exciting opportunity for an Unscheduled Part Time Chef to join their team in Long Term Care. This is a permanent position located in Whitby, ON. The role involves providing culinary services within a long-term care setting, contributing to a positive and enriching experience for residents.

Requirements

• Graduate of Chef Training or Culinary Management Diploma from an accredited college
• Possess a food safety certification
• Able to lift up to 35lbs
• Display a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members
• Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Chef role

Nice To Haves

• Acquired a Red Seal designation
• Possesses an understanding of therapeutic diets
• Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to the retirement and long-term care sector
