About The Position

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Chef Tournant to join their team. The company is dedicated to providing an exciting and fast-paced entertainment industry experience, focusing on career growth and support for its employees. The Chef Tournant will be responsible for supervising the daily shift production of food products for the outlet.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2 years culinary degree
Minimum of 3 years experience in multi outlet facility
Supervisory skills classes
Sanitation Certificate
High end food production is a must
Ability to multi task
English language skills
Ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, percentages and apply to practical situations
Basic culinary math
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems with multiple variables
Culinary degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

Coach, council and discipline staff
Assign staff daily job duties
Write recipes, formulate and implement standards
Train employees to ensure consistency of product
Assure that sanitation and safety procedures are followed
Control food, Labor and associated cost
Attend meetings, assist with input and organization of all menu changes
Control quality of food for all guests
Prepare daily specials or chefs tasting menu
Timely input of food orders ability to plan ahead
Evaluations on employees, completing all paperwork in a timely manner
Communicate with the Executive Culinary management and other departments as required
Conduct daily pre shifts to inform employees of special events, ect.
Orchestrate, schedule and supervise individual employees
Coordinate with the Executive Culinary team on employee needs and production
Council discipline, coach and train
