Chef/Steward

How to Manage a Small Law FirmMiami, FL
Onsite

About The Position

This is a long-term opportunity for a Chef/Steward to work with a family in their mid-50s, who lead an active lifestyle and have a 10-year-old son. The role is primarily based on an 87-foot boat, which is spacious with three decks, three guest cabins, and two crew cabins, and has a full-time professional captain. The boat is normally based in Ocean Reef, but the position involves travel, including a planned trip from mid-May through mid-August (delivery to NY and a family cruise back with guests) and occasional month-long trips to the Bahamas. While not a nanny role, the candidate should enjoy interacting with children. The boat is not a commercial charter but serves as a second home for the family and is occasionally used for entertaining clients, requiring an elevated level of formality. During weeks when the family is not on the boat, the job includes one or two days per week supporting the family in their Coconut Grove home with similar responsibilities, mainly chef-related tasks such as provisioning and meal preparation, which may include occasional dinner or cocktail parties. The family employs a full-time house manager and housekeeper in their home.
