About The Position

The Nutrition Group (TNG) is seeking talented individuals to join their team as School District Chefs. This role involves overseeing daily café operations and staff, coordinating and executing catering events, managing ordering and inventory, and overseeing vending operations. The Chef Manager will also assist with food preparation and service as needed. TNG is a full-service food and facilities management company founded in 1975, specializing in K-12 Meal Services, Commissary, Custodial and Maintenance Management, Business and Industry, and Consulting. They emphasize long-term relationships and a people-oriented approach.

Requirements

Positive attitude and drive to operate with the highest ethical standards
Natural leader, who creates an atmosphere of encouragement for staff
A minimum of 5 years' culinary experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience in management, training, and food cost management
Knowledge of HACCP and National School Breakfast/Lunch Program
Ability to complete essential ordering, production records, HACCP logs, inventory, and menu development
ServSafe certification required

Nice To Haves

Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
