About The Position

We are seeking a growth-minded Chef Manager for a corporate dining account in Wayne, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the overall success of the operation, including culinary excellence, client relations, financial performance, and the continued growth of the business.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
  • Must have a working knowledge of HACCP

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3 years of hands-on culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining setting, or restaurant with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
  • Catering experience
  • Flexible to work weekends as needed for events
  • Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Experience with exposition cooking needed
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
  • ServSafe certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Full culinary management of food service operation to include inventory, ordering, and receiving
  • Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing, and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products
