About The Position

At St. Louis Catholic School, we're looking for a passionate Chef Manager to lead our dining program and create memorable dining experiences for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This is more than a food service job; it's an opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people every day through delicious, nutritious, and thoughtfully prepared meals. If you love cooking from scratch, leading a team, building relationships, and creating a dining environment where students are excited to eat, we want to meet you! As our Chef Manager, you'll serve as the leader of the entire dining services operation, ensuring every meal reflects quality, creativity, nutrition, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare delicious, nutritious meals that appeal to students of all ages.
  • Develop menus that balance nutrition, flavor, variety, and student preferences.
  • Maintain high culinary standards and consistency in food quality.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and inspire a team of food service professionals.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment with high morale and productivity.
  • Manage scheduling, timekeeping, and employee development.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory, receiving, storage, and food production.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Ensure efficient operations while maintaining exceptional quality.
  • Lead all aspects of the school's catering program.
  • Create exciting food experiences for school events, meetings, athletic functions, and special occasions.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and company standards.
  • Uphold Creative Dining Services' C.L.E.A.N. Works! program and all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain organized records, reporting, and operational procedures.
  • Partner closely with school leadership, students, parents, faculty, and staff.
  • Participate in Food Service Committee meetings and actively seek feedback.
  • Create a dining program that becomes a valued part of the Northpoint community.
