About The Position

School Food Service Management Company is seeking a Chef/Manager in the Ocala, FL area. This is a part-time position, working 6 hours daily, Monday through Friday. There may be occasional nights for school board catering events.

Requirements

• K-12 school food service experience is strongly recommended.
• Must be familiar with high volume catering.
• Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools.
• Must have proven cooking experience.
• The ability to travel throughout the school district.
• ServSafe ® certificate required.
• Proficient in various computer software (Google Docs, Microsoft, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the function of the kitchen area.
• Creating menu ideas, while adhering to all NSLP guidelines.
• Preparing for Catering events.
• Ensuring all safety and cleanliness guidelines are being practiced at all times.
• Ensuring personal protection equipment is being used at all times.
• Food ordering and inventory.
• Staffing needs.
